Go Forth Boldly! Songs of Strong Women

"Go Forth Boldly: Songs of Strong Women"  is a presentation of mostly traditional songs concerning women in history. Included in the one-hour show are ballads that tell of women venturing into the world pursuing non-traditional occupations, and women's tales of strength in the face of hardship, disloyalty and danger.  The songs span several centuries and their stories encompass adventure, humour and passion.  Included are The Crafty Maid’s Policy, The Famous Flower of Servingmen, Rolling Home Drunk, Female Drummer and other traditional ballads, many with their roots in the British Isles.

First performed at Her-icane Ethel, The 5th Annual Festival of Women's Art, 2003 in Saskatoon, this presentation is available as a concert or workshop.
